[He's not quite desperate enough to trash Lucifel's room, so when he can't find it he'll leave. He's all sorts of bristly when he comes into the kitchen, though.]
[He's not going to lie about it. He knows what he's doing, he knows it's bad, but he feels so awful he just doesn't care.
He doesn't want to care, anyway. Underneath the willful apathy he's ashamed of himself, and afraid of what a mess he's become yet again. It's just that he wants to face himself even less the worse it gets.]
And I believe, as a grown man, I can choose to chase oblivion as much as I like.
[He knows he is being mean to reject Lucifel's kindness, but... but. Everyone worrying about him and pointing out that he's not okay makes him so embarrassed it crosses over into angry. He doesn't want to be worried about. He doesn't want to be looked at with pity. He doesn't know what he does want, but it's not that!
So he's going to storm off and sulk elsewhere, rather than say something he doesn't mean just to try to get the shame to go away.]

Give it back.

Re: Day 280
Have you not had enough liquor?
Re: Day 280
I've had enough for the moment, but it is still mine to put away where I wish.

[ taking his phone out, now ]

[crossing his arms and making a face!!]
If you are going to patronize me I will take my leave for the day.

Re: Day 280
I am worried for you, Thancred-san. The way you drink seems as though you're trying to flee from sobriety as quickly and as often as possible.

Re: Day 280
There is no peace to be found in oblivion, Thancred-san. Though its waters beckon you—you will only find yourself in ruins.
[ and—even softer ]
. . . I know it is painful. I know.
[ who else would know that pain better than he? ]
But you are only opening more wounds for yourself like this.
Re: Day 280
[Because, y'know. He's done this before!]
At the moment, I do not care. What are a few more mistakes on top of all the rest? I will stop when I have something better to do.
Re: Day 280
[ with a little frown, and then a deeper frown ]
Even if you do not care for yourself, I care—for you, and for your health.
There are plenty of things to do better than courting oblivion—if you do not have something to do, then there is plenty to learn to do.
[ offering him a hand ]
Thancred-san. None would begrudge you for your mistakes, but won't you consider making different ones than these?
Re: Day 280
[He's not taking Lucifel's hand, though, because he doesn't actually intend to change his mind.]
For now, I'll be on my way.
Re: Day 280
. . . Very well. Then, there will be food in the fridge when you come back.
